Kristin Yokomoto focuses on estate planning, trust administration and business succession planning. She has background in venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. She has been practicing law for twenty years and prior to that, was a financial analyst for a Fortune 500 company. Kristin earned her B.A. from the University of California Santa Barbara, M.B.A. from the University of Arizona, J.D. from the University of Arizona School of Law, and LL.M degrees in Taxation from San Diego University School of Law and Chapman University School of Law. She is the Chair of STEP Orange County, an international organization of trust and estate practitioners that strives to provide education to lawyers, accountants and investment advisors and a Committee Member of the STEP Mental Capacity SIG Committee based in London. Kristin is the California Leader of WealthCounsel, LLC, a national organization of estate planning lawyers and the Secretary of the Orange County Bar Association Professionalism and Ethics Committee. She has practiced law in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Orange County and has also lived in Arizona, Idaho and Monterrey, Mexico. Kristin enjoys writing and presenting on estate planning, trust administration and ethical issues.
